What goes across

Each booking reaches MechanicDesk within a minute. MechanicDesk doesn't let other apps change a request once it's sent, so a move or cancel is yours to make there too.

  • A booking with a timeA booking request with the drop-off time, the customer and their car
  • A quote request, call-back or enquiryA booking request with no time, such as Quote request: Repairs
  • The service matches a job typeThe request names that job type
  • The booking moves or is cancelledNothing. TapBook's log says what to change in MechanicDesk

Safe with your jobs

TapBook adds the booking. Your team runs MechanicDesk.

How your office works in MechanicDesk doesn't change. TapBook only touches what it made, and only while nobody else has.

  • Each booking arrives as a request. You accept it, and MechanicDesk adds it to your diary.
  • MechanicDesk matches the customer and their car when you accept, as it does for any online booking.
  • TapBook never changes or cancels anything in MechanicDesk.

MechanicDesk integration FAQ

No. MechanicDesk keeps running your diary, jobs and invoices. TapBook takes the bookings in and sends them across, and you accept them in MechanicDesk as you do now.
