Send your calls to the assistant

Divert the calls you don't answer, the calls that come while you're busy, and the calls when your phone is off, so the phone assistant takes them. Then stop the diversion when you want your phone to ring again. Only owners can see the codes. See The phone assistant for turning the assistant on and for what it says.

Open Settings. The card is Send calls to it.

While the assistant is on for a location, the card says: Calls to your TapBook number already go to the assistant. To have it answer your own phone when you can't, divert your calls to that number.

While it is on for no location, the card says only: Switch the assistant on for a location to see how to divert your calls.

With two or more locations, each location that is answering has its name, then its own codes.

Each row is a label, the code, and Copy. Copy says Code copied.

1. Calls you don't answer diverts a call you don't pick up.
2. Calls when you're busy diverts a call that comes while you are already on a call.
3. Calls when your phone is off or out of range diverts a call your phone cannot take.
4. Stop diverting turns all three off.

The card fills the first three codes with your TapBook number's digits. They look like this, with that number in place of the example:

Stop diverting is the last of those, ##002#, and it does not contain your number.

1. Open the card and note the code for what you want, or choose Copy.
2. On your mobile, dial that code and press call.
3. To check it, call your TapBook number from any phone. The card says Try it: call that number from any phone.

The card says the codes work on Telstra, Optus and Vodafone. Your plan's usual call charges apply to diverted calls.

The four codes are for a mobile. For a landline, the card says to ask your phone company to divert unanswered calls to the TapBook number shown on the card. That number is the same one in On. It answers calls to on Your phone assistant.

Each location has its own TapBook number, and its own codes, once the assistant is on there. Divert the phone that belongs to that location. A location that is off does not appear on Send calls to it. Turn it on from The phone assistant, then come back. The card's empty line is Switch the assistant on for a location to see how to divert your calls.

1. Open Send calls to it and copy Stop diverting, or dial ##002#.
2. Press call on the mobile you diverted.
3. Your phone rings again.

The assistant still answers anyone who calls the TapBook number itself, until you turn the assistant off for that location. Turning it off says Phone assistant off. and Calls ring your own number.
