TapBook

Reminders

Remind customers the day before and an hour before, keep reminders out of quiet hours, and remind people to finish a booking.

Reminders tell customers about a confirmed booking the day before and about an hour before. TapBook sends them as your business. The card shows on Settings only while reminders are on for you. If you don't see it, email hello@tapbook.au.

Where to find them

  1. In TapBook, open Reminders.
  2. On Reminders and reviews, tick what should go, then choose Save reminders and reviews. TapBook says Reminders and reviews saved.

The line under the heading says TapBook sends these as the business name, so customers turn up. When Google review requests are on the card too, it also says they finish their bookings and leave you reviews.

Only owners see this card. A reminder with neither box ticked is off. Neither goes when the booking was confirmed or moved less than an hour before it would, since the customer has just heard.

Reminder the day before

Reminder the day before has Email, ticked to start. The help reads: At the same time of day as the booking, the day before. Only for confirmed bookings.

The email subject is Reminder: your booking with your business, then the day and time, such as tomorrow at 7:30 am. What customers receive is in What customers receive.

SMS sits beside Email, and starts ticked. While a location has no TapBook number, the help adds that SMS starts once that location has its TapBook number. See Your TapBook number and texts.

Reminder an hour before

Reminder an hour before has Email, unticked to start. The help reads: About an hour before a confirmed booking.

SMS starts ticked. Email stays unticked until you tick it. The same note about a TapBook number applies when a location does not have one yet.

Quiet hours

Quiet hours has Quiet from and Until. Quiet from offers 6:00 pm through to 11:00 pm, and Until offers 6:00 am through to 10:00 am, both in 30-minute steps. They start on 8:00 pm and 8:00 am.

Nothing on this card goes between these times, in the location's time. With locations in different time zones, that reads each location's own time. A day-before reminder then goes earlier that evening or first thing that morning, an hour-before one only while it's still 15 minutes to 2 hours before the job, and the rest wait for the morning.

A day-before reminder stays on the day before. Due before quiet hours end, it goes when they end. Due after they start, it goes 30 minutes before they start. An hour-before reminder moves the same way, and a 7:00 am job has none when quiet hours run until 8:00 am.

Reminders to finish

Unfinished bookings has Send one reminder to finish, off to start. The help reads: When someone gives their mobile but leaves before sending, TapBook texts them once, 30 minutes later, with a link back to their answers, or emails them when a text can't go. Never twice to the same person within 7 days, and at most 20 a day. Your form tells them, under the mobile field.

On the form, under Mobile, that line is: If you don't finish, we may send you one reminder. The email subject is Finish your booking with your business, and the button is Finish booking.

Google review requests and this reminder show only when they are included for your business. If the card hides Google review request and Unfinished bookings, it says: Google review requests and reminders to finish a booking come with Pro. See plans in Billing opens Billing. Review requests themselves are in Google review requests.
