TapBook

Quick start

From your first log-in to your first booking: check your booking page, put it on Google and your website, and invite your team.

This takes you from your first log-in to a page a customer can book on. You will check services and hours, copy the link, add it to Google, add the website button if you see Website, and invite the people who log in.

Sign in and open the booking page

  1. Log in with the code TapBook emails you. There is no password.
  2. The first time you log in as an owner, TapBook asks you to authorise it before the dashboard. The title is Authorise TapBook for your business. Tick I can accept this for your business, then choose Accept and continue. If the box is unticked, it says Tick the box to confirm you can accept for the business.
  3. Open Booking page.

Staff never see the authorise page.

If the page is still on its way

When the form is not published, the heading is Your booking page is on its way. Under it: TapBook builds it from your services and hours, then puts the link here for Google and your website.

Choose Email TapBook. That writes to hello@tapbook.au. There is no link to copy until TapBook publishes the form.

Check services and hours

Once the link is there, the sections are Services, Hours, Team, Branding and Google. Website shows only when TapBook has turned your website on.

  1. Open Services and check what customers can book or ask a quote for. See Services and extras.
  2. Open Hours and check the days and times. See Opening hours and closures.
  3. To confirm a booking as soon as the customer sends it, see When customers can book.

Team here is the people and bays customers book. See Team members and bays. Logins for your own staff are separate, under Staff logins.

The card Your link shows the address of your booking page.

  1. Choose Copy. For this link the button is named Copy your booking link. TapBook then says Link copied.
  2. Choose Open to see the page customers see.

Put that link on your Google profile and your website.

  1. Open Google.
  2. On Your Google booking link, choose Copy. With one location the button is named Copy your Google link. Bookings from this link show as Google in your inbox.
  3. Follow Add it on Google. Search Google for your business, or open it in Google Maps. On Google Search, choose Booking. In Google Maps, choose Edit profile, then Booking. Choose Add link, or Add another link if one is already there. Paste your TapBook link and choose Save.
  4. If other booking links are listed, choose Set preferred link, then your TapBook link, and Save, so yours shows first.

Google decides where the button shows, and a change can take a while to appear. Keep your website link as it is. Booking is a separate button. See Add your booking link to Google.

Add the website button

If you see Website, open Website.

  1. The card Website button says a button sits in the bottom corner of every page, and opens your booking form over the page.
  2. Set Button label to Book online, Book a service, Book a meeting or Get a quote.
  3. Choose Save website button. TapBook says Website button saved.
  4. Under Add it to your website, copy the code your site needs. See The Book button for your website.

If you do not see Website, skip this step. The booking link still works.

Invite the people who log in

  1. Open Staff logins.
  2. Enter their Email, leave Role on Staff or choose Owner, then choose Send invite.

See Staff logins and roles.

You do not see Website
