Campaigns
Text all your customers at once, see who clicked and who booked, and bring in your AroFlo clients.
Campaigns send one text to all your customers at once, such as "Summer's coming, book your air conditioner clean." You see who clicked the link and who booked, and replies land in your inbox. Campaigns come with the Campaigns add-on, on Standard or Premium. See Plans and billing.
Where to find them
Open Campaigns. It's in the menu after Insights, and under More on a phone. Only owners see it.
If there's no Campaigns, your plan doesn't have the add-on yet. Add it on Billing, or email hello@tapbook.au.
Campaigns go from your TapBook number. Until it's ready, New campaign says so instead of showing the form. See Your TapBook number and texts.
Send a campaign
- Open Campaigns and choose New campaign.
- Write Your message. Your business name goes before it, and a link to your booking page and Reply STOP to opt out. after it. What customers get shows the whole text.
- Check who it goes to: TapBook says how many customers get it, and how many are skipped because they have no mobile, replied STOP, or have campaigns turned off.
- Under When, choose Send now, or Choose a time and pick a date and time outside your quiet hours.
- Tick These are my customers and they'd expect to hear from me.
- Choose Send to your customers, check the numbers, and choose Send. TapBook says Sending. Replies land in your Inbox.
Your message can be up to 320 characters. Under it, TapBook counts how many SMS each text takes, including your name, the link and the STOP line. A text with an emoji takes more.
Texts don't go during your quiet hours. A campaign sent then starts when they end. Quiet hours are on Reminders. See Reminders.
Who gets it
Every customer with an Australian mobile gets one text, unless they replied STOP or you turned campaigns off for them. Landlines and other numbers are skipped.
To turn campaigns off for one customer, open them on Customers and turn off Campaigns. Replying STOP turns it off too, and it stays off if they later reply START. Only you can turn it back on. See Customers.
Marketing texts can only go to people who know your business, and they must be able to opt out. That's why campaigns go only to your own customers, start with your business name, and end with the STOP line.
Your monthly SMS
The add-on includes 500 campaign SMS a month. A text that takes two SMS uses two. New campaign shows how many you've used this month, and won't send a campaign that needs more than you have left. Email hello@tapbook.au for more.
How a campaign went
Each campaign on Campaigns shows when it went, then how many were sent, delivered, clicked and booked. Open one to see:
- The text as it went. Each customer's link is their own, so TapBook can count who opened it.
- Sent, Delivered, Clicked and Booked. A link a messaging app opens for its preview doesn't count as a click.
- Why any texts didn't go: they couldn't be delivered, the customer replied STOP before it went, or you cancelled.
- Booked: customers who booked within 30 days of the text, by the link or any other way, such as calling you. Each opens the booking.
A booking made from the link shows Campaign as its source, and Insights counts it under Your campaigns. See Insights.
Cancel a campaign
While texts are still to go, open the campaign and choose Cancel campaign, then Cancel campaign again. The texts that haven't gone won't go, and the ones already sent stay sent.
Customers from AroFlo
When AroFlo is connected, TapBook brings in your AroFlo clients as customers, so a campaign reaches all of them, not only the ones who booked through TapBook. It checks for new clients each day. Campaigns shows how many came in, how many were skipped with no mobile, and when it last checked. To bring in clients you just added, choose Check AroFlo again.
A client whose mobile is already a TapBook customer's joins that customer. Archived clients are left out. An imported customer shows From AroFlo until they book. See AroFlo.
