Your booking page
Where your booking page lives, what customers see as they book, and links that open it at one service or record where a booking came from.
Your booking page is what customers see when they book, ask for a quote, request a call-back or send a message. It lives at tapbook.au followed by your business link, and each location can have its own address too.
Where to find it
- In TapBook, open Booking page.
- The title is Booking page, with the line What customers see when they book.
- Until TapBook has published the page, you see Your booking page is on its way. Choose Email TapBook.
- Once it is published, the card Your link shows the address. Choose Copy or Open. Copy is named Copy your booking link, and TapBook answers Link copied.
Under the address: Put it on your Google profile and your website, and text it to customers.
Staff see the link, then Only owners can change the booking page.
Owners then get Services, Hours, Team, Branding and Google. Website is there only while TapBook has turned it on for you. Locations live under Settings.
A change is on the page the next time a customer opens it.
What customers do
Above the question they see Step and the numbers, such as Step 2 of 5. Back keeps every answer.
A card for a location, a service or a single choice moves on as soon as they choose it. Next stays off until a step that needs an answer has one. Extras always offer Skip, and so does any other step the form lets them leave.
- With more than one location, they pick one. One location, or a link that already names one, skips this.
- They pick a service. Other enquiry comes last. A link that names a service skips this. See Services and extras.
- Extras you switched on for that service come next. With none, the step is left out.
- A service set to Book or get a quote offers Book a time and Send an enquiry, unless your form uses other words on those cards.
- They answer the questions, then Name and Mobile, and their email.
- They check the answers. Change beside one goes back to it, and the rest stay.
- For a time, they pick a day and a time. The week buttons are named Previous week and Next week. I'm flexible is optional, unless your form gives that switch another name. No time suits? Request a call-back asks you to phone them instead.
- The last button sends it. While it sends, the button reads Sending….
For a time, that button reads Book or Request with the day and time. The others read Send quote request, Request a call-back or Send message. Book and You're booked in are when the location confirms straight away. Request and Request sent are when it doesn't. See Confirm bookings straight away.
A quote ends on Quote request sent, a call-back on Call-back requested, and a message on Message sent. A booked time offers Add to calendar.
If the time went while they were choosing, they see That time was just taken. Pick another time.
Links for a location, a service or Google
Your link is tapbook.au and your business link.
A location's page adds a slash and that location's Link. Set the word under Address, phone and link. That page skips the location step. A word that matches no location doesn't open a page.
To open at one service, end the address with ?service= and the service's code. The code is the title in lower case, with the words joined by hyphens, such as general-service for General service. While Website is on, the codes are listed there under Service codes for data-service. A hidden service, or one not offered at that location, is ignored, and the form asks as usual.
Bookings you want marked as Google use a link ending in ?via=google. Open Google. The card Your Google booking link says bookings from it show as Google in your inbox. Choose Copy. With one location, that button is named Copy your Google link. With two or more, each location has its own address, tapbook.au, your business link, a slash, the location's Link, then ?via=google, and Copy is named Copy the Google link for that location. See Add your booking link to Google.
The same page can go on your website. See The Book button for your website.
Things to check
The page isn't published yet
You see Your booking page is on its way, and TapBook builds it from your services and hours, then puts the link here for Google and your website. Choose Email TapBook. The tabs stay hidden until the page is published.
The form still asks which service
The code after ?service= isn't a service they can pick. It may be Hidden, left off that location, or spelled differently from the code under Service codes for data-service. See Customers can't see a service.
Bookings from Google show as your link
The address on Your link doesn't record Google. Copy the one on Your Google booking link, which ends in ?via=google. Those bookings show as Google in the inbox.
