TapBook

Insights

What the numbers on Insights mean, and how to see where your bookings come from.

Insights is one screen of numbers for how TapBook is working. Open Insights. The title is Insights and the line under it is How TapBook is working for you. Until the first booking arrives, the page says No numbers yet, and: Once bookings arrive, this shows how many came in, where from, and how many forms were finished.

The numbers match the weekly line on the inbox. A week starts on Monday at midnight, in your first location's time. A reload shows the latest numbers. Nothing on this page updates on its own.

The sentence

One sentence sits above the tiles.

  • With bookings this week, it says This week you got that many bookings, then more than by this time last week, fewer than by this time last week, or the same as by this time last week. It ends This month so far, and the month's count.
  • One booking reads 1 booking.
  • With none this week, it says No bookings yet this week. and then This month so far, and the count.
  • With none this month either, it says No bookings yet this month.

The tiles

Four tiles follow. Each has its name, a number, one line, and a comparison with the same days last week: more than last week, fewer than last week, or Same as last week.

  1. Quote requests is how many quote requests arrived this week. The line under the number is how many confirmed jobs, or 1 confirmed job.
  2. After hours is how many bookings arrived after hours this week. The line is how many were in business hours.
  3. Review requests is how many Google review requests were sent this week. The line is By SMS or email.
  4. Forms finished is how many forms were finished this week. The line is Of however many started.

A confirmed job here is a booking that arrived in that span and is now confirmed, completed or a no-show. Quote requests are counted even if they were later booked in or cancelled. Forms started are visits where the customer answered the first question, on your booking page or your website. Forms finished are the ones that sent a booking. Review requests count a request sent by SMS, by email, or both, whether TapBook sent it or you did. See Google review requests.

Where bookings came from

The card Where bookings came from is one bar split by source, the largest share first, then a row for each source that sent any booking this week. The row is the source's name, its count and its share of the week.

The names are Google, Your website, Your booking link and Your team. Your website counts the website form and the website button together. Your team is bookings added by staff. A tie keeps that order: Google, then your website, then your booking link, then your team.

With nothing this week, the card says No bookings yet this week. and shows no bar.

How a week is counted

This week runs from Monday at midnight, in the first location's time, up to now. By this time last week is the week before, from its Monday at midnight to the same day and time as now. This month runs from the 1st at midnight, in that same time, up to now.

A booking counts when it arrived, whatever it is now. A request, a quote, a call-back, an enquiry and a cancelled booking all count. The inbox's weekly line uses the same count, so the sentence and that line agree. See The inbox.

After hours is a booking that arrived while its location was closed. In business hours is one that arrived while the location was open. Closures and the hours on the booking page decide which is which. See Opening hours and closures.

The comparison under a tile uses those same days last week. 2 more than last week means the number is higher by 2. 2 fewer than last week means it is lower by 2. Same as last week means the two numbers match. The tiles do not use colour to say which way it moved.

Read it

  1. Open Insights.
  2. Read the sentence for this week against the same point last week, and the month so far.
  3. Read the four tiles. The big number is this week. The line under it is the extra fact. The last line is last week.
  4. Read Where bookings came from for the share of each source. The largest share is first.

That bar is the only picture on the page. Reload when you want the latest numbers.

Your phone assistant is a source on that bar when the assistant sent any booking this week. In a tie it sits after your booking link and before your team. See The phone assistant.
